Are you a student passionate about policy research, governance studies, or global development? The Brookings Internship Program offers you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop new skills, and explore career pathways in a dynamic environment.

Benefits of the Brookings Internship Program

The Brookings Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful, pre-professional work experiences that align with a student’s field of study or career interests. Interns at Brookings can work within various research programs such as Governance Studies, Global Economy and Development, Brookings Metro, Economic Studies, or Foreign Policy. Alternatively, internships are available within Brookings’ central business units like Human Resources, Executive Office, Finance, Development, Facilities, and Communications.

Interns are immersed in the daily operations at Brookings, engaging in tasks ranging from research projects to administrative duties and communication roles. The internship experience is enriched with internal and external events, networking opportunities, social and community programming, and professional development activities. Interns can also join employee-led professional networks and affinity groups, further enhancing their experience.
