Higher Technological Institute: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Higher Technological Institute is a public university in Egypt with a strong focus on engineering and applied study. It suits students who want a large multi-campus institution with undergraduate, graduate, and professional options, especially in technical subjects.

  2. What you can study

Students can study engineering, business, computer sciences, communication disorders, creative writing, and history. The institute also offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programmes, but the full programme catalogue should be checked on the university website before applying.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the universityโ€™s admissions process and confirm the entry requirements for their chosen programme on the official website. Check whether your qualification is accepted, what documents are needed, and whether your programme has any extra subject or language requirements.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range for international students; confirm the current rate with its admissions office. Budget separately for living costs in Egypt, including housing, transport, food, and daily expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm this before applying, especially if you need language support or a test score. Also confirm visa steps, document legalisation, tuition payment timing, accommodation options, and whether your chosen campus is the one you want to attend.

  6. How it compares

Egypt has 44 universities, and this one stands out for its size, multi-campus structure, and technical focus. Compared with many others in the country, it is a better fit for applicants who want engineering or other applied fields in a large public institution.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them โ€” always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
