Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universitä: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg is a public university in Germany with a broad mix of programmes across applied and academic fields. It suits applicants who want a public German university with options spanning science, business, technology, and social fields.

  2. What you can study

You can study across 23 programmes, including Agriculture, Applied Technology, Arts & Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Business, Child Development, Communication, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Conservation & Wildlife Management, Criminal Justice, and Gunsmithing. The full programme catalogue should be checked on the university website before applying.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should check the official university website for entry requirements, application steps, deadlines, and any document rules for their chosen programme. The application route can vary by programme, so the exact requirements must be confirmed with the university before submitting.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a fee for international students in the available information; confirm the current tuition rate with its admissions office. Living costs in Germany will still depend on housing, food, transport, and personal spending, so plan a budget beyond tuition.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm it for each programme before applying. If you are moving from abroad, also check visa needs, proof of finances, health insurance, and whether your documents need translation or official recognition.

  6. How it compares

Germany has 326 universities, so this institution sits in a large and competitive higher-education system. Its public status and its spread across 23 programmes make it one of the more flexible options for applicants who want a broad choice rather than a single specialised path.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
