Universität Regensburg: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Universität Regensburg is a public research university in Regensburg, Germany. It suits students who want a large, established German university with a broad faculty structure and are comfortable confirming programme details directly on the university website.

  2. What you can study

The university houses eleven faculties. The programme areas explicitly mentioned are Law and Business Sciences, Philosophy, and Theology; the university is also described as a public research university, so students should expect research-oriented study, but the full programme catalogue is not given here and should be checked on the university website.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university’s official admissions process and check the current entry requirements, document list, deadlines, and whether their previous qualifications are accepted. The university website is the place to confirm programme-specific rules and any language or subject requirements before applying.

  4. What it costs

No tuition fee is published here for international students. Confirm the current cost with the university’s admissions office, and also check expected living costs in Regensburg separately, since those depend on housing, transport, and day-to-day spending.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated. Before applying, confirm the teaching language for your chosen programme, the entry requirements for your qualification, deadlines, proof of finances if needed, and how international documents must be submitted.

  6. How it compares

Among 326 universities in Germany, Universität Regensburg stands out as a public research university with eleven faculties and a programme base that includes Law and Business Sciences, Philosophy, and Theology. That makes it a broader option than a single-subject institution, while still requiring you to verify the exact course offering and admission route for your field.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
