Shannon College of Hotel Management is a public institution in Ireland focused on hotel management, now fully incorporated into the University of Galway. It suits students who want a hospitality-focused pathway with study options from foundation to masterโs level.
Shannon College offers programmes at foundation, certificate, degree and masterโs level, along with executive education and short programmes. The programme catalogue is specific to hotel management and hospitality-related study; exact current programme names should be checked on the official website.
International applicants should check the collegeโs current entry requirements, programme-specific conditions, and application process on its official website. Because it is incorporated into the University of Galway, applicants should also confirm how applications are handled and what documentation is required for their chosen programme.
The university does not publish a fee for international students; confirm the current rate with its admissions office. Living costs in Shannon and County Clare will depend on housing, transport, and day-to-day spending, so check local estimates separately before applying.
The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm this before applying. A student moving from abroad should also check visa requirements, entry documents, accommodation options, and whether the chosen programme has any placement or work-based elements.
In Ireland, Shannon College is one of 28 universities or higher-education institutions listed in the country count here, but it is much narrower in focus than a general university because it concentrates on hotel management and hospitality study. That makes it a better fit for applicants who already know they want that field, rather than those looking for a broad subject mix.
Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them โ always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
