Korea Military Academy: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Korea Military Academy is a public institution in South Korea that prepares officer cadets for the Republic of Korea Army. It suits applicants who want military officer training rather than a conventional civilian university path.

  2. What you can study

Korea Military Academy focuses on the education and training of officer cadets for the Republic of Korea Army. No subject list or degree catalogue is published here, so confirm the available programmes and training route on the official website before applying.

  3. Getting in

International application rules are not published, so the first step is to check the official website and admissions office for eligibility, required documents, and whether non-Korean applicants can apply. Because this is a military academy, confirm any service commitments, fitness requirements, and selection stages before you start an application.

  4. What it costs

A tuition fee for international students is not published, so confirm the current cost with the admissions office. Living costs in Seoul will still need to be planned for separately, including housing, food, transport, and daily expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published, so confirm it before applying. Also check whether international applicants are accepted, what visa route applies, whether military service obligations follow admission, and what documents you need for identity, academic record, and health or fitness checks.

  6. How it compares

South Korea has 245 universities. Korea Military Academy stands apart from most of them because it is a public military academy focused on officer cadet training, not a broad civilian university, so it suits applicants who want a military career path in Seoul rather than a general academic route.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
