Barcelona Graduate School of Economics: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Barcelona Graduate School of Economics is a public institution in Spain focused on graduate education in economics, finance, data science, and the social sciences. It suits applicants who want a specialised, research-oriented place for postgraduate study rather than a broad undergraduate university.

  2. What you can study

You can study economics, finance, data science, and the social sciences, with the institution described as offering research-based graduate education. The programme catalogue is not otherwise specified, so confirm the exact degree options and specialisations on the official website.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should check the official website for the current application steps, entry requirements, deadlines, and document list for the specific programme they want. Because the admissions process can vary by programme, confirm language requirements, degree prerequisites, and whether additional tests or interviews are needed.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range in the available information; confirm the current cost with its admissions office. Living costs in Barcelona will still need a separate budget, including housing, food, transport, and personal expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The institution is in Barcelona, Spain, and the main study areas are economics, finance, data science, and the social sciences. If you are moving from abroad, confirm the language of instruction for your programme, visa requirements, health coverage, accommodation, and whether your previous degree meets the entry standard.

  6. How it compares

Spain has 98 universities in total, and this institution stands out for being narrowly focused on graduate study in economics and related fields rather than offering a broad university structure. That makes it a better comparison point for applicants who want a specialised academic environment than for those looking for a full-range university.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
