Catholic University of America: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Catholic University of America is a university in Washington, D.C. that offers graduate, doctoral, and professional study, and it suits students who want a research-focused institution with a Catholic identity. It is not a full undergraduate-first profile here, so applicants should check the current course offer and entry route on the official website.

  2. What you can study

Available study options include Master's Degree, PhD / Doctorate, and Professional programmes. Example programmes listed are Medical Assistant Certificate Pathway - Illinois, Medical Assistant Certificate Pathway - Tampa, Registered Behavior Technician Pathway, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certificate, IT Support Specialist Certificate, Technology Sales Professional Certificate, Phlebotomy Certificate, Cybersecurity Analyst Certificate, M.S. in Counseling (Virtual), M.A. in Psychology: Illinois, Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision, and M.S. or Ed.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university’s official admissions process and confirm the entry requirements for the specific programme they want to study. Check the website for academic prerequisites, document requirements, application deadlines, and whether the chosen programme is offered in the format you need, especially if you are applying from outside the United States.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a fee for international students here; confirm the current tuition with its admissions office. Plan separately for living costs in Washington, D.C., which can be significant and will depend on housing and personal spending.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm that on the official website before applying. If you are moving from abroad, check visa steps, documentation, programme delivery mode, start dates, and whether your chosen course is open to international students.

  6. How it compares

Among 2,515 universities in the United States, this institution stands out more for its Catholic and research identity than for breadth of study options, because only 28 programmes are listed. It is therefore a narrower choice than large multi-faculty universities, but it may suit applicants who want graduate, doctoral, or professional study in a focused setting.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them β€” always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
