Gurukul University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Gurukul University is a public university in India that offers undergraduate study across a small, focused catalogue. It suits students looking for bachelor’s-level options in social science, science, engineering, law, and related fields.

  2. What you can study

The university offers 22 programmes at bachelor’s level. Example options include Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Engineering, LLB (Hons) in Law, BSS (Hons) in Economics, BSS (Hons) in International Relations, BSS (Hons) in Development Studies, Bachelor of Social Science in Disaster Management and Resilience, and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Environmental Science.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply for a bachelor’s programme and check the current entry requirements, document list, and application steps on the university website. Confirm whether your previous qualifications meet the admission standard, what supporting documents are needed, and whether any programme-specific requirements apply before submitting an application.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range; confirm the current cost with its admissions office. Living costs in India will depend on the city, housing choice, and day-to-day spending, so you should budget separately for accommodation, transport, food, and study materials.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published, so confirm it before applying. If you are moving from abroad, check visa requirements, admission deadlines, document attestation or translation needs, health cover, and whether the university requires any programme-specific eligibility checks.

  6. How it compares

India has 475 universities, so Gurukul University sits in a large higher-education system with many alternatives. Its main distinguishing feature is that it is public and appears to focus on bachelor’s study rather than offering a broad mix of degree levels.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
