Shujitsu Women's University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Shujitsu Women's University is a public university in Japan that currently appears to offer a single bachelor's-level programme. It suits applicants who want a very small programme choice and need to check the university's own site for the exact admissions and study details.

  2. What you can study

The university lists one bachelor's degree programme: 佛学本科. No broader subject list is published, so applicants should treat the current programme catalogue as limited and confirm the full, up-to-date options on the university website.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university's own admissions process and check the official website for entry requirements, document lists, deadlines, and any language conditions. Because only limited programme information is published, it is especially important to confirm the exact requirements for the bachelor's programme before applying.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range for international students; confirm the current tuition and any other charges with its admissions office. Living costs in Japan will depend on the city and your housing and daily spending, so plan for local expenses separately.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published. Before applying, check whether the bachelor's programme is taught in Japanese, what language proof is needed, how visas are handled, and whether the university offers any support for students arriving from abroad.

  6. How it compares

Japan has 571 universities, so this institution sits in a very large higher-education system. Compared with many universities in the country, it stands out mainly for its narrow published offering: a public university with one listed bachelor's programme, which makes it a choice for applicants who are comfortable with a highly limited catalogue.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
