Myongji University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Myongji University is a South Korean university with campuses in Seoul and Yongin, and it suits students who want a doctoral option in a university offering engineering, sciences, and humanities. It is a practical choice if you want a large, multi-campus setting in South Korea and can work with limited published programme detail.

  2. What you can study

The university provides higher education in engineering, sciences, and humanities. The only programme level listed is PhD / Doctorate, and one example programme is 人間科学専攻. The wider programme catalogue is still being compiled, so check the official site for the full list of departments and postgraduate options.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply for the degree level they want and confirm the current entry requirements on the official website. The university has two campuses, so check which campus your programme uses, what documents are required, and whether any language or departmental requirements apply before you submit an application.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range; confirm the current rate with its admissions office. Living costs will depend on whether you study in Seoul or Yongin, so budget separately for housing, transport, food, and everyday expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published. Before applying, confirm the teaching language, the campus for your programme, visa documents, accommodation options, and any entry conditions set by the department or graduate school.

  6. How it compares

Among 245 universities in South Korea, Myongji University stands out more for its campus spread and its published doctoral-level study than for a broad public programme list. It is less useful if you want a wide menu of clearly listed courses, and more suitable if you already know you need a doctoral path in one of its stated subject areas.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
