University of London: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

The University of London is a public federal research university in the United Kingdom, with study options across diploma, professional, and bachelor's levels. It suits applicants who want a UK institution with a broad applied programme mix and are comfortable checking the exact route and delivery details before applying.

  2. What you can study

Study options include 29 programmes at diploma, professional, and bachelor's level. Examples include Accounting, Advanced Manufacturing and Machining, Agriculture, Associate of Arts, Automation and Systems Integration (Robotics), Aviation Maintenance, Banking and Finance, Business, Collision Repair Technology, Creative Media, Crime Scene Investigation, and Criminal Justice.

  3. Getting in

Applicants should review the official university website for the specific entry route, document list, and any programme-level requirements. International students should also check how their previous qualifications are assessed, whether any additional checks apply for their chosen programme, and what deadline applies to that course.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range; confirm the current fee with its admissions office. Living costs in London are likely to be a separate expense, so check accommodation, transport, and day-to-day costs before you apply.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm it on the official website for the programme you want. Before applying, check visa implications, whether your qualifications are accepted, how study is delivered, and what support is available for students arriving from abroad.

  6. How it compares

Among 193 universities in the United Kingdom, the University of London stands out as a public federal research university rather than a single-campus provider. Its smaller published programme count and mix of diploma, professional, and bachelor's options may suit applicants looking for focused routes instead of a very broad undergraduate catalogue.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them β€” always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
