Furman University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Furman University is a university in Greenville, South Carolina, offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral study. It suits applicants who want a broad liberal arts choice across several levels and prefer a U.S. institution with a relatively small listed programme set.

  2. What you can study

You can study at bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD/doctorate level. Example programmes include Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Accounting BS, Accounting with Data Analytics MS, Africana Studies BA, Aging Studies BA, American Studies BA, Anthropology BA, Applied Economics MA, Applied Linguistics MA, Applied Linguistics PhD, Applied Physics MS, and Applied Physics PhD. The full programme catalogue is not fully listed here, so check the official website for the current options and entry routes.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university’s admissions process and check the official website for the current requirements, deadlines, and document list. Because programme-specific entry rules can differ by degree level, confirm the application path for the exact course you want before submitting anything. If you need visa or language details, confirm those directly with admissions.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a fee for international students in the information available here; confirm the current tuition with its admissions office. Living costs in Greenville will add to the total cost of study, so budget separately for housing, food, transport, and health expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm it on the official website before applying. Also check visa steps, English-language requirements, whether your chosen programme has a separate application process, and what documents are needed for overseas applicants.

  6. How it compares

Among 2,515 universities in the United States, Furman is one option with study available across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Its programme list shown here is smaller than many large universities, so it may suit applicants who want a more focused set of subjects rather than a very wide catalogue.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
